Cleary Gottlieb partner Yulia Solomakhina spoke at the 11th annual IBA Mergers and Acquisitions in Russia and CIS Conference.
Yulia presented on the panel, “Hot Topics in M&A in Russia and CIS,” and, along with senior in-house lawyers from blue-chip Russian companies and other advisors, discussed in-depth legal issues when negotiating and executing joint venture transactions. In particular, she covered choice of jurisdiction for joint ventures, as well as choice of governing law and forum in joint venture agreements.
