Cleary Gottlieb represented COFCO Meat Holdings Limited and MIY Corporation, KKR, Baring and Boyu Capital (together as selling shareholders) in COFCO Meat’s HK$2 billion (approximately $254 million) initial public offering.
COFCO Meat is a leading Chinese pork company. Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan and DBS served as joint global coordinators, joint bookrunners and joint lead managers. The deal priced on October 25, 2016; it closed and the shares began trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on November 1, 2016.
