Cleary Gottlieb associates Aaron Francis and Kayla Rooney have been selected to participate in the inaugural National Bar Association Associate Advancement Academy for Excellence (NBA Academy), a program designed to facilitate the advancement and retention of Black attorneys across the country.
The year-long program will include educational, networking, mentoring, and pro bono components to equip junior Black attorneys with the tools they will need to advance their careers. The first class will include 21 associates from 17 firms nationwide, covering a wide array of practice areas including corporate, litigation, environmental, labor and employment, restructuring, and intellectual property.
