Cleary Gottlieb is acting as global antitrust counsel to Adevinta in one of the largest private equity deals of the year.
On November 21, 2023, a consortium of private equity groups led by Blackstone Inc. and Permira Holdings Limited made a voluntary offer to acquire all the outstanding ordinary shares of Adevinta.
Adevinta operates online classified advertising platforms across and outside the EEA, such as Leboncoin in France; mobile.de and Kleinanzeigen in Germany; Marktplaats in the Netherlands; Fotocasa, InfoJobs, and Milanuncios in Spain; Subito in Italy; and Kijiji in Canada.
The transaction is conditioned upon shareholder approval, as well as regulatory approvals by competition and investment screening authorities.
