Advent to Acquire Spectris for £3.8 Billion

Cleary Gottlieb is advising Advent International L.P. (Advent) on the recommended cash acquisition of Spectris plc (Spectris), a high-quality precision measurement, instrumentation and testing company, through an indirect subsidiary of funds managed and/or advised by Advent.

The offer values Spectris at approximately £3.8 billion and implies an enterprise value of approximately £4.4 billion.
