Cleary Gottlieb represented the underwriters in an offering under a shelf registration statement by American International Group of $750 million 4.875% Notes due 2022. The offering of the notes constituted a reopening of AIG’s $750 million 4.875% Notes due 2022 issued by AIG on May 24, 2012. The joint book running managers for the offering were Citigroup Global Markets and Goldman, Sachs & Co. The transaction launched and priced on June 26 and closed on June 29.
