Ajinomoto in Win of Dismissal in Antitrust Case

November 10, 2005

Cleary Gottlieb represented Ajinomoto Company before the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota in an antitrust claim brought by foreign purchasers of MSG and nucleotides. The plaintiffs claimed that they were harmed when Ajinomoto and several other defendants engaged in an alleged price-fixing conspiracy that impacted both U.S. and international markets. The court dismissed the case for lack of subject matter jurisdiction.
