América Móvil in €2.1 Billion Exchangeable Bonds

Cleary Gottlieb represented América Móvil B.V., as issuer, and América Móvil S.A.B. de C.V., as guarantor, in an issuance of €2.097 billion zero coupon guaranteed exchangeable bonds due 2024.

The bonds are governed by English law and exchangeable into the ordinary shares of Koninklijke KPN N.V. The transaction priced on February 23, 2021 and closed on March 2, 2021.

América Móvil is a Mexican company specializing in the provision of integrated telecommunications services in Latin America and one of the largest mobile network operators in the world. KPN is a Dutch landline and mobile telecommunications company.
