Cleary Gottlieb is representing Goldman Sachs as financial advisor to the board of directors of Anadarko Petroleum Corp. (APC) in the sale of all of APC’s remaining midstream assets for $4.02 billion to Western Gas Partners (WES), with $2.01 billion cash proceeds and the balance to be paid in new Western Gas equity.
Concurrently, WES announced it has entered into a merger agreement with Western Gas Equity Partners, which will result in a simplified midstream structure.
