Cleary Gottlieb partner Andrés de la Cruz has received The American Lawyer’s “Dealmaker of the Year” award for his role in one of the most difficult and successful deals of 2016.
Each year, The American Lawyer honors lawyers who display “creativity, client commitment and a business savvy that delivered on their clients’ objectives.”
The publication highlights Andrés leading role as counsel to Argentina in its $16.5 billion debt offering, which was critical to the transaction’s success. The article also notes the firm’s “wealth of historical and institutional knowledge it could offer the new administration” as a result of Cleary’s longstanding representation of the Argentine government.
