ArcelorMittal in Rights Offering

Cleary Gottlieb represented ArcelorMittal in connection with a capital increase of 2.8 billion euros ($3.2 billion) that was announced on February 5, 2016, launched on March 11, 2016 and closed on April 8, 2016.  ArcelorMittal raised the capital through a rights offering to shareholders.  The Mittal family took up its pro rata entitlement of rights.  The rights offering was underwritten by a syndicate of banks led by Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch and Crédit Agricole.
