Cleary Celebrates Women’s History Month With Shahzia Sikander and Madison Square Park Conservancy

Cleary Gottlieb hosted its Women’s History Month celebration, “Lifting Women and Justice.”

Panelists included Shahzia Sikander, artist and MacArthur Foundation Fellow; Holly Leicht, Cleary alumna and Executive Director of Madison Square Park Conservancy; and Brooke Kamin Rapaport, Artistic Director and Martin Friedman Chief Curator, Madison Square Park Conservancy. Cleary Managing Partner Michael Gerstenzang delivered welcome remarks, and associate Ye Eun (Charlotte) Chun moderated the discussion.

The panelists discussed Havah…to breathe, air, life, a women and justice-themed multimedia outdoor exhibition and collaboration between Madison Square Park and the nearby Courthouse of the Appellate Division, First Department of the Supreme Court of the State of New York. The five-month exhibition (January 17 – June 4, 2023) marks the first collaboration between the Conservancy and courthouse.
