Cleary Gottlieb Counsel in Three Latin Lawyer “Deals of the Year”

Cleary Gottlieb was recognized for advising in three of Latin Lawyer’s “Deals of the Year” for 2010. The winning deals include Corporate Finance Deal of the Year: Petrobras’ record-breaking share offer (U.S. counsel to Petrobras); M&A Deal of the Year: Heineken and Fomento Económico Mexicano’s share swap (U.S. counsel to FEMSA); and Restructuring Deal of the Year: Independência’s restructuring (U.S. counsel to the ad hoc bank lenders committee).

In addition, the firm was mentioned as U.S. counsel to Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua in GCC’s restructuring, a runner-up for Restructuring Deal of the Year, and for representing Grupo Bimbo in Bimbo’s acquisition of Sara Lee’s U.S. bakery division, a runner-up for Outbound Investment Deal of the Year.
