A deal on which Cleary Gottlieb advised – ReNew Power’s $8 billion SPAC listing – has been shortlisted for two 2022 ALB India Law Awards: Equity Market Deal of the Year (Premium) and M&A Deal of the Year (Premium).
In February 2021, Cleary represented Goldman Sachs, the largest shareholder in ReNew Power (ReNew), India’s leading pure-play renewable energy producer, in ReNew’s public listing through a business combination with RMG Acquisition Corporation II, a special purpose acquisition company.
The ALB India Law Awards recognize excellence and outstanding achievement in India’s leading law firms, in-house legal teams, top deals, and dealmakers.
