Cleary Gottlieb Lawyers Kathryn Collar and Sienna Smallman Win 2019 Wig and Pen Prize

Cleary Gottlieb trainee solicitors Kathryn Collar and Sienna Smallman have been selected as winners of the City of London Law Society and The City of London Solicitors’ Company 2019 Wig and Pen Prize for their pro bono work with The Entrepreneurial Refugee Network (TERN).

Sienna and Kathryn have worked with over 20 lawyers in London to develop resources to assist TERN’s refugee network with the various legal complexities inherent in starting a new business.

The Wig and Pen Prize recognizes outstanding contributions to pro bono legal work and is conferred by The City of London Law Society & The City of London Solicitors’ Company. This is the third time that the prize has been awarded to Cleary lawyers.

TERN is an organization that offers tailored programs for refugee entrepreneurs in the UK to take their first steps in a new business culture, both enabling refugees to realize their potential and stimulating diversity in entrepreneurship in the process.
