Cleary Gottlieb Listed Among Top International Arbitration Practices

February 13, 2014

Global Arbitration Review once again has named Cleary Gottlieb among the world’s top 20 busiest international arbitration practices according to GAR’s seventh annual report, published this month.

The rankings are based on a range of criteria, including the number of hearings (merits and jurisdictional) and the amount of money at stake; the number of hours billed to arbitration; and the number of arbitral appointments a firm’s members are handling. In a departure from previous editions, GAR provided several additional tables, including ranking 100 firms based on their number of high-value hearings; Cleary was eighth overall.

In its profile of the firm, GAR noted a number of Cleary’s successes in 2013 and, among other highlights, the news of partner Richard Kreindler joining the Frankfurt office.
