Cleary Gottlieb Named Top International Firm in Korea for Third Year in a Row

Cleary Gottlieb was named International Deal Law Firm of the Year by Asian Legal Business (ALB) Korea Law Awards for the third year in a row.

ALB’s Korea Law Awards recognize the outstanding performance of legal practitioners and in-house teams in Korea and around the Asia region.

In addition to receiving the top international award, Cleary was honored for representing clients in some of the largest capital markets and M&A deals of the year:

• Technology, Media and Telecommunications Deal of the Year: HP’s Acquisition of Samsung’s Printer Business for the firm’s representation of Samsung
• Debt Market Deal of the Year: The Export-Import Bank of Korea (KEXIM)’s floating-rate notes offering for Cleary’s representation of KEXIM
• Equity Market Deal of the Year: Representing Kakao Corp in its issuance of global depositary shares
