Cleary Gottlieb represented América Móvil, the leading provider of wireless services in Latin America, in its €407 million acquisition of TIM Perú (now América Móvil Perú).
TIM Perú provides wireless and valued added services throughout Peru and has approximately 1.4 million wireless subscribers. Prior to the acquisition, it was the Peruvian wireless subsidiary of Telecom Italia.
América Móvil has more than 75 million wireless subscribers in the Americas. Cleary has advised América Móvil since its 2000 founding on a wide variety of matters, including 11 acquisitions.
