Cleary Gottlieb Partner Ferdinando Emanuele Named Italian Litigation Lawyer of the Year by TopLegal

Ferdinando Emanuele was named the Best Italian Litigation Lawyer of the Year at the third edition of the TopLegal Awards. According to the judges, Mr. Emanuele is “a professional who delivers high-quality service that is efficient and effective.” The jury further noted that “transparency, clarity and precision” are the hallmarks Mr. Emanuele displays in an active international litigation and arbitration practice that spans various sectors such as energy, telecommunications, fashion and transportation. The award ceremony was held at the East End Studios in Milan on November 23.

In addition, Roberto Casati was ranked second in the category of Italian Professional of the Year, and Cleary Gottlieb was ranked second in the category of International Law Firm of the Year. The firm’s Antitrust and Litigation teams were ranked second and third in their respective categories.

TopLegal is a publication that covers the legal market in Italy. The short-list for each award category was determined through an on-line voting system that was targeted at peer firms and in-house counsel, and the final selection was made by a panel of judges composed of finance, business and communications professionals. Over 60 law firms and nearly 700 professionals were present in Milan for the award ceremony, including business lawyers, entrepreneurs and industrial and financial executives.
