Cleary Gottlieb partner Laurie Achtouk-Spivak has been named among Global Arbitration Review’s (GAR) 45 Under 45 2023, a guide to the leading younger practitioners in international arbitration.
As in previous editions, GAR asked each person on the list what they think the biggest challenges facing arbitration are, among other questions. Laurie responded by saying, “Being trusted by corporates and sovereigns alike to remain the preferred dispute resolution mechanism when it comes to international commerce and investment.”
Laurie also recognized her mentors, which include current Cleary partners Jean-Yves Garaud and Christopher Moore, among others, and added that she finds inspiration in the many female trailblazers in the field. “As my colleagues know, coffee in my Ruth Bader Ginsburg mug is an essential start to my day.”
