The A-List measures the qualities of an elite law firm, described by The American Lawyer as those that are best at balancing a thriving business with their obligations to the profession.
In determining its rankings, The American Lawyer examines four factors: revenue per lawyer, commitment to pro bono, diversity among lawyers, and associate training and satisfaction. Revenue per lawyer and pro bono work receive double weight.
