Cleary Gottlieb Ranks Among Top Three on Law360’s “Global 20” Firms

Cleary Gottlieb was ranked as a top three firm on Law360’s “Global 20” rankings. The firm was selected for its work on complex, high-profile issues throughout the world and its large global footprint. This is the third consecutive year Cleary Gottlieb has earned a place on the Global 20 list.

In Law360’s profile of the firm, Cleary Gottlieb was noted for being “authentically international,” with approximately 45 percent of its lawyers working outside the United States. In addition, the firm’s representations of Bank of America (sale of its international wealth management business to Julius Baer), Rosneft ($54.8 billion deal for rival TNK-BP), Codelco ($2.8 billion deal for a 29.5 percent stake in Anglo American PLC’s Sur project) and Nortel Networks (including the $4.5 billion sale of their patent portfolio) were mentioned, further highlighting Cleary Gottlieb’s cross-border expertise.
