Cleary Gottlieb Ranks Second in 2014 Global, U.S. and European M&A

Cleary Gottlieb ranked second in announced M&A deals by value globally according to 2014 league tables published by Bloomberg, Mergermarket and Thomson Reuters.

Other Bloomberg highlights include the firm ranking second in U.S. M&A and finishing in the top 10 for cross-border and global private equity deals, all announced and by value.

Mergermarket ranked the firm second in European M&A by deal value for announced deals, and noted that the firm advised on half of the top 10 global deals during 2014. Mergermarket also ranked the firm #1 in France, #2 for Germanic M&A and #3 in Italy.

Thomson Reuters listed the firm among the top five in deals by value for M&A in its Japan (completed) category; we also ranked among the top three firms in their announced deals for certain target industries, including EMEA – Materials and Asia/Ex-Japan – Telecommunications.
