Cleary Gottlieb Receives Ally for Justice Award From CDP at Urban Justice Center

October 26, 2018

Cleary Gottlieb has been honored by the Community Development Project at the Urban Justice Center (CDP) with the 2018 Ally for Justice Award recognizing the positive impact of the firm’s work on behalf of communities striving for social, economic, and racial justice.

Cleary attorneys and professional staff have partnered with CDP’s immigration practice to assist vulnerable immigrants in a number of ways, including screening undocumented individuals for immigration relief at community-based organizations,  tackling country conditions research projects for asylum cases, and directly representing clients in complex case work.

According to the CDP, the firm’s contributions have enabled partner organization African Communities Together “to significantly expand their reach into the otherwise underserved population of African immigrants in New York City.”

The honor was presented at CDP’s Partners in Justice Celebration in New York.
