Cleary Gottlieb Recognized as a Top 20 Innovative Law Firm in Financial Times Law Index – North America

Cleary Gottlieb has been recognized in the FT Law Firm Index – North America as a top 20 innovative law firm. 

This Financial Times index highlights the most innovative law firms in North America, evaluating how firms are transforming their business models, managing talent, and reinventing services and delivery models. 

In the last year, Cleary acquired Springbok AI, launched an AI Acceleration team, and became the first North American firm to partner with Legora, while continuing to drive innovation through its e-Discovery Litigation Technology Group, expanding ClearyX platform, and its role as Founding Advisor for Stanford Law School’s LiftLab.     Cleary successfully defended bedding manufacturer Tempur Sealy in an antitrust case brought by the Federal Trade Commission over its $4 billion takeover of retailer Mattress Firm. The deal, first announced in 2023, was completed in 2025.
