Cleary Gottlieb Shortlisted for The Deal Awards 2021

Several Cleary Gottlieb deals have been shortlisted across nine categories as part of The Deal Awards 2021.

The category and deal nominations include:

  • Consumer, Retail, Food, and Beverage Deal of the Year – Large Cap (McCormick adds hot sauce maker Cholula from L Catterton; Roark-backed Inspire Brands acquires Dunkin’ Donuts parent; VF adds Carlyle-backed streetwear Supreme; and LVMH adds Tiffany to portfolio of luxury brands)
  • Cross-Border Deal of the Year (Warburg-backed Allied Universal Security acquires G4S; and LVMH adds luxury brand Tiffany)
  • Deal of the Year – Large Cap (IFF adds DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences in Reverse Morris Trust; T-Mobile and Sprint complete blockbuster merger; and LVMH adds luxury brand Tiffany)
  • Energy and Industrials Deal of the Year – Large Cap (IFF adds DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences)
  • Energy and Industrials Deal of the Year – Middle Market (Southwestern Energy acquires Montage Resources)
  • Financial Services Deal of the Year – Large Cap (Spain’s BBVA sells U.S. operations to PNC)
  • Healthcare, Pharma, and Biotech Deal of the Year – Large Cap (Centene acquires WellCare Health)
  • Private Equity Deal of the Year – Large Cap (Stonepeak Infrastructure adds Astound Broadband)
  • Technology, Media, and Telecom Deal of the Year – Large Cap (Salesforce.com buys messaging company Slack; and T-Mobile merges with Sprint)

The Deal Awards recognize and celebrate the advisers, professionals, firms, and banks driving the market forward in mergers, acquisitions, private equity, restructuring, and activism defense.
