Cleary Gottlieb Wins Asian-Counsel and AsiaMoney Deal of the Year Awards

Cleary Gottlieb received Asian-Counsel’s 2006 Deal of the Year award for its representation of Lotte Shopping in its $3.7 billion IPO, the largest-ever IPO by a Korean company. Asian-Counsel also recognized the Republic of Indonesia’s $2 billion global bond offering with an honorable mention for Deal of the Year. This transaction was previously awarded Best Indonesia Deal of 2006 by FinanceAsia.

In addition, Cleary Gottlieb received AsiaMoney’s Best Equity Deal for its representation of the initial purchasers in the $1 billion IPO of Macquarie Korea Infrastructure Fund. The firm was also counsel in the Republic of the Philippines’ $2.1 billion dual currency Eurobond, which was awarded AsiaMoney’s Best Sovereign Bond of 2006. This transaction was previously awarded Best Sovereign Bond by FinanceAsia.
