Cleary Gottlieb won three 2015 Global Competition Review awards at the publication’s annual event on April 14 in Washington, D.C.
The firm had received nine nominations in the team and individual award categories. In addition, Cleary was recognized for its top two ranking in GCR’s Global Elite, a group including the best 20 antitrust practices worldwide.
On the same day of its annual awards event, GCR published its largest-ever survey on the top antitrust law practices in Washington, D.C. Of the 43 firms examined, Cleary was named one of only four “elite” antitrust practices that, according to the publication, “field a truly balanced practice in the nation’s capital, doing varied work of the highest quality” in 2015. In ranking the firm among the top practices, GCR noted that Cleary “is in a league of its own, rivals say, and its lawyers have their pick of work whether in deals, litigation or criminal investigations, and a powerhouse of [counsel and associates] to support them.”
