Cleary Gottlieb has received Asian Legal Business’s (ALB) M&A Deal of the Year award for representing McDonald’s Corporation in establishing a $2.08 billion partnership of a consortium with its mainland China and Hong Kong businesses.
As a result of the strategic partnership, CITIC Limited, CITIC Capital Holdings, and The Carlyle Group will act as the master franchisee responsible for McDonald’s businesses in the region.
Winners of the annual ALB awards are selected based on the breath, complexity, and impact of China-based legal work.
