Cleary Gottlieb was honored in three categories at the 2020 TopLegal Awards.
The firm was named “Competition & EU Law Firm of the Year” and “Litigation Firm of The Year.”
According to the TopLegal panel, Cleary’s antitrust work in Italy stands out for precision, speed, and client care, as illustrated by the firm’s work with Telecom Italia in antitrust clearance for its Inwit project.
In the litigation category, Cleary was cited for its strategy on multiple fronts and in multiple jurisdictions in helping Vivendi win against Mediaset and preventing a cross-border merger of the latter.
Partner Ferdinando Emanuele was named “Arbitration Lawyer of the Year” for his work in the coordination of international and multidisciplinary teams, as well as for the complexity of the cases on which he advised.
