Cleary Gottlieb earned three 2014 LatinFinance Infrastructure Finance Awards on September 16 for its work on a first-of-its-kind toll road development in Brazil.
The firm received “Best Transport Financing,” “Best Road Financing” and “Best Local Currency Financing” awards in connection with representing Concessionária Rodovias do Tietê S.A. in a R$1.065 billion infrastructure debenture offering to operate a road system in the state of São Paulo. Among other highlights, the transaction was the first time in Brazil that a toll road was financed entirely through the capital markets.
