Cleary Gottlieb Wins Three Global Competition Review Awards

Cleary Gottlieb won three 2013 GCR awards:

  • Merger Control Matter of the Year – Americas for advising Dollar Thrifty in its acquisition by Hertz,
  • Behavioural Matter of the Year – Europe for advising HarperCollins and Hachette in the EU e-book settlement, and
  • Antitrust partner Leah Brannon was named Lawyer of the Year – 40 and Under.

The firm had at least one nomination in 8 of 10 possible categories. In addition, the antitrust practice was recognized for its top two ranking in GCR’s Global Elite, a group including the best 20 antitrust practices worldwide.

The awards were announced at GCR’s annual dinner on April 9, 2013 in Washington, DC.
