Cleary Gottlieb received “Antitrust Law Firm of the Year” and “Deal of the Year” awards at LegalCommunity’s 2018 Corporate Awards, held in Milan on June 14.
The firm’s antitrust team was described as “stellar,” with a “comprehensive and thorough expertise and a professional style highly appreciated by clients… they have very few rivals at the same level in this area.”
Cleary earned LegalCommunity’s “Deal of the Year” award for representing Essilor in connection with its announced strategic combination with Luxottica. The company resulting from the transaction, EssilorLuxottica, would be an integrated player dedicated to visual health, operating across all segments of the eyewear industry. The combined entity would have more than 140,000 employees and sales in more than 150 countries.
