Cleary Gottlieb won “Arbitration Law Firm of the Year” and “Deal of the Year” awards at LegalCommunity’s 2019 Corporate Awards, held in Milan on June 13.
Cleary’s litigation and arbitration team was lauded for achieving extraordinary results year after year, and the firm was described as having “one of the best litigation and arbitration teams in Italy and beyond.”
Cleary received LegalCommunity’s “Deal of the Year” award for representing GiVi Holding (the Versace Family holding company of Gianni Versace S.p.A.), Donatella Versace, and Versace’s CEO Jonathan Akeroyd in connection with the sale of Versace to Michael Kors Holdings Ltd. for approximately $2.13 billion.
