Cleary Gottlieb's Mary Watson Honored by City of New York YWCA

November 5, 2010

Cleary Gottlieb senior attorney and Director of Professional Development Mary Watson has been selected as a member of the YWCA of the City of New York’s 2010 Class of the Academy of Women Leaders. Mary was honored for her professional achievements, contributions to the community and dedication to women’s and diversity initiatives. Each year, the NYC-YWCA celebrates women leaders who inspire greatness, including many women who were among the first to shatter glass ceilings and hold senior positions within their companies and industries. Mary was honored at the NYC-YWCA’s Salute Luncheon for the new class members, which was held on November 5.

The YWCA of the City of New York is committed to addressing the critical needs of New York City women and to empower them for success and leadership in their lives, jobs and communities. The organization focuses on underserved families through job training; educational child-care and after school programs; partnerships with business, government and other not-for-profits; and advocacy. Established in 1858, the NYC-YWCA is one of the nation’s oldest non-profit organizations.
