Cleary Gottlieb was proud to host the UK launch of pro-bono client ZOF Africa in its London Office.
Founded by a former Cleary employee, ZOF Africa provides training, mentoring, and tertiary education grants to disadvantaged youths in Zimbabwe, equipping them with the skills needed to drive innovation and socio-economic growth. ZOF Africa also runs workshops to introduce young people to drone piloting and engineering, exposing young people to career opportunities in drone flying that are in high demand in the region.
The fundraising event included a raffle for several prizes and speeches by Takunda Chingonzo, founder of The Village Innovation Network in Zimbabwe; John Bizimana, an author and marketing executive who grew up at a children’s home in Zimbabwe; and Georgina Fleming, Founder of ZOF Africa.
Cleary has been proud to support ZOF Africa through pro bono advice in London and New York in connection with its charitable endeavors.
