CNP Assurances Sells CNP Cyprus Insurance Holdings for €182 Million

Cleary Gottlieb represented CNP Assurances in the sale of its insurance operations in Cyprus and Greece to Hellenic Bank Public Company Ltd for a total consideration of €182 million.

CNP Cyprus Insurance Holdings operates in both the life and non-life insurance sub-sectors in Cyprus and in Greece. The sale allows the CNP Assurances group to re-focus its existing international footprint, while remaining committed to expansion in Europe.

The transaction closed on April 16, 2025, following the receipt of the required regulatory approvals.

CNP Assurances is the fifth-largest insurer in Europe with solutions distributed in 19 countries by various partners.
