Coach to Acquire Kate Spade for $2.4 Billion

Cleary Gottlieb is representing Evercore Group L.L.C, as financial advisor to Coach, Inc. in its acquisition of Kate Spade & Company in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $2.4 billion.

The acquisition, announced May 8, 2017, is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2017, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, including the tender of a majority of the outstanding Kate Spade shares pursuant to the offer and receipt of required regulatory approvals.
