Cleary Gottlieb advised The Coca-Cola Company in a transaction that combines the bottling operations of Coca-Cola Enterprises, Coca-Cola Iberian Partners and Coca-Cola Erfrischungsgetränke AG, a wholly owned subsidiary of Coca-Cola, into a new Western European bottler to be called Coca-Cola European Partners Plc. The merger, announced on August 6, will create the world’s largest independent Coca-Cola bottler based on net revenues.
