September 30, 2019

Cleary Gottlieb represented the selling shareholders and Farnborough Airport on the sale of the airport to Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 6, a fund managed by Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets.

Farnborough Airport is the only dedicated business aviation airport in the United Kingdom and was the world’s first dedicated business aviation airport to receive carbon neutral status from Airports Council International. It is the birthplace of aviation in the UK, opening in 1908 as the country’s first airfield and site of its first powered flight. Internationally, the airport is known for being the site of one of the world’s premier events for the aviation industry – the Farnborough International Airshow.
