Cleary Gottlieb is representing long-standing client DCC plc in its acquisition of Germany-headquartered Medi-Globe Group.
The acquisition is made by the DCC Healthcare unit. It marks DCC Healthcare’s largest acquisition to date and is a further material expansion of its presence in the European health care market, following on from the acquisition of primary care supplier Wörner Medical in May 2021, on which Cleary also advised.
The acquisition is based on an enterprise value of approximately €245 million. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals in Germany and France and is expected to complete in calendar Q4 2022.
Medi-Globe Group is an international medical devices business focused on minimally invasive procedures. It is involved in the development, manufacture, and distribution of single-use devices for endoscopy in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. It has operations in Germany, France, Austria, Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and Brazil.
