Cleary Gottlieb represented European Capital in the acquisition and related financing of the Household Products Division of Guaber, a branded Italian consumer products company, by AXA Private Equity. The acquisition closed on September 12.
Founded in 1961, Guaber’s Household Products Division manufactures and supplies branded fabric care, household cleaning, insecticides and other home and garden products for the Italian household products market. The company is headquartered in Bologna, Italy. Its well-recognized brands include Grey, L’Acchiappacolore, L’Acchiappagrigio, Vim Clorex, VAPE, Coloreria, Drago, Fito and Deo.
