Holiday Retirement in Acquisition of Independent-Living Facility Portfolio

Cleary Gottlieb is representing Holiday Retirement in its acquisition of six independent-living facilities from Chartwell Seniors Housing Real Estate Investment Trust. Holiday Retirement, a REIT principally owned by private equity funds managed by affiliates of Fortress Investment Group, is the largest provider of senior independent living housing in North America. The acquisition, which is subject to lender approval, is expected to close by the end of this year.
