Cleary Gottlieb is representing Warburg Pincus and Hygiena in the sale of Hygiena to EW Group.
The transaction was announced on February 16, 2021.
Hygiena is a leading microbiology and life sciences company that serves industrial food processors, health care institutions, life science researchers, and the general public in more than 50 countries. Hygiena manufactures and sells a broad range of rapid hygiene monitoring systems, environmental collection systems, and rapid dilution services.
Cleary represented Warburg Pincus in its acquisition of Hygiena in 2016, the bolt-on acquisition of DuPont’s global food safety diagnostic business, and multiple refinancings and other matters.
