ICC Tribunal Rejects Claims in Paris Arbitration

September 20, 2016

Cleary Gottlieb has received the award in an ICC arbitration in Paris, rejecting in their entirety claims totaling  $15 billion against its client.

The claims related to alleged deceit, coercion and breach of a settlement agreement previously made by the parties to resolve multiple prior disputes in various litigations over control of another  company. The ICC tribunal rejected all of the claimant’s theories of recovery, and awarded them nothing on their claims against Cleary’s client.
