Johnson Controls in Energy Efficiency Services Joint Venture With Apollo

Cleary Gottlieb represented Johnson Controls (JCI) in the formation of a joint venture with funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management (Apollo) to provide sustainability and energy efficiency services for commercial buildings.

The strategic partnership, which was announced on August 12, 2021, is intended to provide customers across the United States and Canada with performance-based energy efficiency and smart buildings services at no upfront costs and with predictable monthly fees.
