Korea East-West Power’s $500 Million Offering

Cleary Gottlieb represented BNP PARIBAS, BofA Merrill Lynch, Citigroup, Crédit Agricole CIB, and HSBC, as joint bookrunners, in a Rule 144A/Reg. S offering by Korea East-West Power Co. Ltd. (EWP) of $500 million 1.75% notes due 2025.
The notes were listed on the Singapore Exchange. The offering priced on April 27, 2020, and closed on May 6, 2020.
EWP was established in 2001 as one of six wholly owned generation subsidiaries of Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO). KEPCO is currently the sole electricity transmission and distribution company in Korea and is listed on the NYSE.
