Cleary Gottlieb partner Nicolas Grabar has been named ‘International Lawyer of the Year’ by Latin Lawyer.
In honoring Grabar for his leading work for the firm in Latin America, Latin Lawyer described him as “an elite dealmaker with a reputation for assisting on novel financing structures that set precedents for others to follow,” adding that Grabar “is one of the firm’s top corporate and finance lawyers.” They cited his work on “a string of ground-breaking capital markets deals on behalf of the Mexican state,” including the deal that led Mexico to become the first country issuing century bonds in euros.
Latin Lawyer will present Grabar with the award on March 17 in São Paulo.
