Cleary Gottlieb advised Latour Capital in the acquisition of a majority interest in Funecap.
Charterhouse Capital Partners, majority shareholder of Funecap since 2018, has also reinvested in the transaction alongside the management team led by Xavier Thoumieux and Thierry Gisserot.
The acquisition closed on March 24, 2021.
Founded in 2010, Funecap is the second-largest funeral services and crematoria management player in France, operating more than 600 sites including 46 crematoria.
