Cleary Gottlieb’s Capital Markets group was selected by Law360 as one of its Practice Groups of the Year, citing “a number of record-setting capital markets financings over the last year, including guiding Actavis PLC in securing $30 billion of securities offerings.”
Law360 noted that the firm’s collegial culture helped give the group “the opportunity to helm some of the more complicated and market-shaking deals of the past year.”
Cleary partner Craig Brod told the publication that the Actavis deal “was really a classic example of seamless acquisition financing by the capital markets and M&A teams.”
In its profile of Cleary’s Capital Markets group, Law360 said that “much of the team’s success lies in the fact that all the attorneys are able to do the full range of capital markets work, rather than focusing on certain sub-specialties. This helps with problem-solving solutions in complicated deals.”
Cleary also earned Practice Group of the Year recognition for Banking, Competition, and Mergers and Acquisitions.
